Payment FAQs

  • If I am not in-network with your insurance and you have out-of-network benefits, you would pay the full fee for services and then I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please note this may be subject to your out-of-network deductible, and I cannot guarantee any reimbursement amounts that may be paid to you. You are responsible for contacting your insurance company to determine what your out-of-network benefits are, submitting the superbill to them, and following up with them on potential reimbursement.

  • Clients have the option to pay for services instead of using insurance. The cost of an initial assessment session (75-90 minutes) is $220, and each therapy session (50-55 minutes) thereafter is $180. I can also provide referrals to other providers, if preferred.

Under the No Surprises Act that went into effect on January 1st, 2022, patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the bill from their healthcare providers for the total expected cost of medical items and services. Read more about this in the question below.

  • Under the new No Surprises Act, which went into effect on January 1st, 2022, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services - this is called a Good Faith Estimate.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

    • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

  • I offer reduced rates to a pre-determined number of clients at a time, which are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and to those who demonstrate significant financial need. Please note I cannot offer a sliding scale to those who have an insurance carrier that I am in-network with.

  • Payment is due at the time of the session. Payments can be made with a credit or debit card, check or cash.

  • That’s okay! I know that sometimes life happens and plans need to be changed. All clients get one (1) “free cancellation” per six month period to be used for any reason. Beyond this, any cancellations made with less than 24 hours advanced notice or no-show sessions will incur a $50 fee.
